Yoga is an incredible physical practice and can unlock many different physical benefits, however through practice, and as we spend more time on the mat, much more can unfold. Yoga can become a moving meditation; it can open up the subtle channels of the body allowing us to reach higher levels of self-realization. Yoga is a life path and the physical asana practice is just one part of this ever-evolving door to awakening.
This meditative journey can begin with a willingness to try, to practice, and to be open to the possibilities of change.
As we break out of our habitual patterns and realize that there are other ways to respond to life’s circumstances, we begin to bring our yoga off the mat. In my classes you will begin to see beyond the postures and have the opportunity to practice meditation, pranayama exercises and learn more about how Ayurveda is a sister science to Yoga. You will grow in many ways, and having an increase in flexibility, strength, and balance are only a few of the changes that might occur.
